Description

The role entails being responsible for design calculations, equipment design integration, and the preparation and release of sheet metal part drawings using 3D CAD SolidEdge software for Concrete Equipment Products.

Job Responsibilities

• Research and implement new product technology designs and design improvements for concrete equipment.
• Conduct design calculations for new developments and validate them through FE analysis.
• Stay updated on concrete equipment technology and innovations.
• Identify and suggest alternatives for bought-out items, aiming for import substitution and cost reduction.
• Review and finalize technical specifications and drawings for OEM components.
• Generate new ideas to enhance design productivity.
• Coordinate prototyping assembly on the shop floor and conduct testing.
• Prepare 3D models, 2D drawings, and other relevant documentation using CAD software.

Skills and Abilities

• Proficiency in new product technology, product design, and development for the R&D department.
• Ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas for improving concrete product performance.
• Experience in preparing 3D models, weldment drawings, assembly drawings for sheet metal parts, bought-out items, and bill of materials, along with knowledge of release process activities.
• Proficiency in SolidEdge software for CAD design.
• Coordinating with production on the shop floor during new product development.
• Strong problem-solving skills utilizing root cause analysis methods such as 8D and Fishbone diagrams.
• Conducting design calculations for new and current products.
• Reviewing and finalizing technical specifications and drawings for OEM components.
• Analyzing and providing alternate solutions for bought-out items in relevant areas.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Hands-on experience in designing mechanical concrete equipment using design principles.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling, 2D drafting skills, and creating SAP BOM.
• In-depth knowledge of CAD drawings for sheet metal parts using SolidEdge software.
